PS-4A power supply

The PS-4A power supply was designed to complement our 48 GATES module, but it can be used in any Eurorack system. This power supply puts out a regulated 4 amperes of current on the +12V line, unlike some systems which take their 12 volt supply directly from the “brick”. With its hand built (massive) heat sink and regulator rated at 5 amps, the supply can drive a 4 amp load indefinitely, but if you’re going to do that we recommend having a good amount of space around it for airflow. The module has a built in output fuse if things get out of hand and reverse polarity protection in case the input power is reversed.

(Note that this unit has the bare-aluminum faceplate, which matches the 48 GATES module.)

Specifications: 30mm wide (6hp), 48mm deep, output: +12V 4 amps, -12V 125ma, +5V 1A (if a cooling fan is used, otherwise, realistically .5A). Ships with 15V 4 amp brick with 120/240V input and separate IEC three prong cord.
